What are you grateful for? It’s easy to dwell on the negative things in life. Our days get so hectic that most of us don’t have time to stop and think about all the little moments that make us smile. That’s why we’re celebrating World Gratitude Day.

In 1965 a group of dignitaries from several nations enjoyed Thanksgiving dinner together in Hawaii. They discussed the concept of creating one day each year to encourage people to focus on things that make them happy. All the attendees agreed to take this idea back to their home countries. From then on, September 21 was recognized as World Gratitude Day.

The founders of this happy holiday suggest spending it with family and friends, and meditating on things that bring you joy. Whether you share these thoughts with others or keep them private doesn’t matter. The point is to concentrate on the positive side of life and express your gratitude.

Our Thoughts

At PeopleFinders, we’re grateful for family, friends and all the people who enhance our lives. We strongly believe in the power of old-fashioned values like loyalty, compassion and community. We are optimists who are grateful to have an opportunity to help people find and reconnect with loved ones they haven’t seen in years.

We all know that life can be difficult. We all endure trials and tribulations. But when we’re going through these troubled times, we can lean on the people who care about us. The people we love. They make all the difference in the world, and we are so grateful for them.

Positively Peaceful

Want another reason to be grateful on September 21? It’s also known as the International Day of Peace. It’s a time to celebrate peacefulness and joy across the globe.

How will you spend your World Gratitude Day? Whatever you do, take a moment to share it with the people who are close to your heart. Feel free to leave us a comment and share your thoughts on this special day, and thank you for reading the PeopleFinders.com People Search blog.
