Safety First

First of all, you have to feel bad for this
guy who comes across as totally clueless that there is a lot of crime in Dupont.
At the crux of this article from this weekend's Post is the fact that real
estate agents are very leery of saying anything about how good the schools
are or how safe the neighborhoods are because of Fair Housing laws. While this
may seem crazy, just realize that you need to do your own research, whether
it's checking with the local police department or school district.
A site called CriminalSearches
launched last year, and has a neighborhood feature which works pretty well, although
don't freak out, because some traffic violations will show up along side the assaults
and thefts.
You can also use BestPlaces.net
to compare crime in major cities.
