Help Center: Frequently Asked Questions

How are the criminal results returned?

Criminal records only exist for a small percentage of the population so the user is paying for the ability to search this database, thus the cost is incurred whether or not a record exists. If the subject you were searching for doesn't exist within the criminal record search, the system will still return results for multiple criminals with similar first name, last name, or other characteristics.

Criminal searches are not refundable because research is required to determine whether a criminal record is even existent. Our "no hit/no fee" policy does not apply to criminal record searching due to the tremendous amount of money required to access and maintain these databases.
